Dorit Abramovitch
Feminist activist; journalist, lecturer; has worked for Physicians for Human Rights, B�tselem, and Amutat Yedid; volunteers at the Center for Victims of Sexual Assault; lectures on the field of feminism and gender; holds a BA in political science and a masters in human rights; resident of Tel Aviv.

Dr. Shirli Bar-David
Conservation ecologist, coordinated the Nature Reserve Authority's project of reintroducing the yachmur haparsi (Persian fallow deer) in Nachal Kziv; has worked for the SPNI and for Adam Teva VeDin (IUED); holds a doctorate in zoology; currently on a post-doctoral fellowship in Berkeley California, with fieldwork on the African buffalo in Kruger National Park in South Africa.

Raed Fadila
Educator and activist, newly appointed director of LINK for the Environment (Galilee Jewish-Arab NGO); founder and central activist in "Al-Razi" environmental NGO in Tira; formerly environmental education director of the Town's Association for Environmental Quality of the Southern Triangle, co-authored the chapter on minorities for the NGO Shadow Report for the Johannesburg "Rio + 10" Earth Summit, holds a B.Sc. in chemistry and a teaching certificate, resident of Tira.

Nitzan Horowitz
Journalist; directs the foreign affairs department of Channel 10; former foreign correspondent and analyst for Ha'aretz in Europe and then in Washington, and head of the foreign desk at Hadashot newspaper and at Galei Tzahal; member of the board of directors of ACRI; holds a degree in law, resident of Tel Aviv.

Noam Ilan
Hi-tech and environmental entrepreneur; founder and C.E.O. of the CoreText Inc. software company; involved in initiating commercial environmental projects in the fields of green building and renewable energy; a central coordinator of the yearly Earth Day Israel events; involved in ecological economics; established one of the first academic internet systems in Israel, for Tel Aviv University, holds a BA in business and political science, and completing a masters in environmental studies at Tel Aviv University; resident of Tel Aviv.

Shula Keshet
Artist, curator, community organizer and social activist; is active in the local committee fighting for the victims of the new Central Bus Station in Tel Aviv, and in the Democratic Mizrahi Rainbow movement; helped found "Achoti ("My Sister") - For Women in Israel" Mizrahi feminist group; has exhibited her work in various galleries in Tel Aviv, elsewhere in Israel, and in New York, holds a teaching certificate in art, resident of south Tel Aviv.

Adel Khateeb
Community center director and educator; advisor on the introduction of the Local Agenda 21 project in Arab municipalities; formerly a teacher in the Bedouin town of Rahat, and developed educational programming for the Bedouin population; was the Negev regional values education coordinator; holds a B.Sc. in mathematics and a master's in business administration, resident of Tamra in the Western Galilee.

Gaby Lasky
Lawyer and political activist; her independent law firm specializes in human and civil rights and provides legal consultation for social change organizations; member of the executive of Meretz (Yachad); facilitates the Rikma program for local sustainability in Sderot; was a founder of the Social Forum in Israel; former director of Peace Now; holds degrees in sociology, art history and in law, native of Mexico; resident of Tel Aviv.

Noga Levtzion-Nadan
Landscape architect and environmental economist; has recently completed a comprehensive survey of Israel's environmental budget for the Jerusalem Institute of Israel Studies; coordinates the public participation project in the preparation of the Jerusalem Master Plan for the community administrations, is the regional planner of the Romema neighborhood; holds a B.Arch in landscape architecture and a master's degree in environmental assessment and evaluation from the London School of Economics, resident of Jerusalem.

Gilad Levy
Mediator, and consensus-building facilitator; director of the Gevim Tzafon Center for Mediation; works in communal and environmental mediation; leads workshops in mediation and negotiation; holds a bachelor's of law degree, resident of Yuvalim in the Central Galilee.

Noa Orbach-Even
Architect and urban planner; municipal engineer of the town of Kiryat Ono (formerly that of Pardes Hanna - Karkur); is a citizen activist in the Local Agenda 21 project in Ramat Hasharon, holds a degree in environmental architecture from the Ecole Speciale D'Architecture in Paris, resident of Ramat Hasharon.

Gilad Ostrovski
Environmental planner, educator; directed the national recycling project; member of the non-profit "Kehila"; former national director of nature and environment for the Machanot Ha'olim youth movement, holds a master's degree in geography with a specialization in environmental planning and policy, lectures on topics of environment and preservation; consults on open space protection, water and waste; is a facilitator for the Rikma program in local sustainability training; formerly a resident of the urban kibbutz Tammuz in Beit Shemesh, currently a resident of Katzir, and a local environmental activist there.

Dr. Irit Rotem
Veterinarian, functions as the regional public health specialist of Netivot and the Sedot Hanegev Regional Council; coordinates recycling and Local Agenda 21 in Netivot; focuses on discovering practical meaningful ways for sustainable living, and passing on this knowledge to the general public; holds a doctorate in veterinary medicine, resident of Moshav Nir Moshe in the northern Negev.

Dr. Hannah Safran
Feminist and peace activist; teaches and lectures in women's and gender studies in academia and for the public at large; tries to integrate reflection and action in the areas of feminism, the environment and society; formerly the director of "Isha LeIsha Women's Center" (Haifa), and following that, of the gender studies section of Haifa University; has written a comparative history of the woman's movement in pre- and post-State Israel, holds a doctorate in history and women's studies, resident of Haifa (who would like her city to secede from the country).

Gil Yaniv
Environmental and urban planner, assistant director in charge of infrastructure for the Ministry of the Environment; formerly director of the Jerusalem District of the Environment Ministry; member of the board of directors of the National Council for Historic Preservation, holds a BA in sociology and geography and a master�s degree in urban studies, resident of Moshav Ramat Raziel in the Jerusalem Hills.

Naor Yerushalmi
Public relations specialist, spokesperson of the coordinating umbrella NGO "Life and Environment"; former spokesperson of the Ministry of the Environment, and of Tel Aviv University, and director for public relations for the Israeli Embassy in Washington, holds a master's degree in communications and political science, active in the local "Forum for the Stony Hills", and in the world center of Bnai Brith in Jerusalem; resident of Nes Tziona.
