Dr Jeremy Benstein's North American Speaking Tour - May 23-28, 2008

The Heschel Center's Deputy Director, Dr Jeremy Benstein, has just left for the US and Canada for a short speaking tour over the next week, visiting Minneapolis, MN, Toronto (Ontario) and Caldwell, NJ. (details below). Jeremy is the author of the recently published seminal book, The Way Into Judaism and the Environment.


He will be discussing issues related to the book, the social-environmental challenges facing Israel and the Heschel Center's work to create a sustainable future for Israel. He will also report on the successful first Hike Bishvil Yisrael this March, of which he was educational director, and invite participant's to next year's Sea to Sea Hike (March 16-19, 2009).

On his return, Jeremy will conduct a
Web-based Shavuot Shi'ur.  The "webinar" will take place on Thursday June 5. Precise details and times will be sent next week and posted on our website:
