Study Tour for a Sustainable Israel

Building A Sustainable Society:

Israel Through the Eyes of the Heschel Center

Orly Peled, resident activist at Mevasseret Zion and graduate of the HeschelThe Friends of the Heschel Center is proud to announce the launching of its second annual study trip to Israel, to take place from October 26th in the evening, until the early evening of October 30, 2008. The goal of the trip is allow participants to see the work of the Heschel Center for Environmental Learning and Leadership first hand and up close.

The Heschel Center's activities span the length of breadth of Israel with participants from every sector and geographical area. 

Meet the people making change on the ground for a sustainable future for Israel:

  • from members of Knesset and local mayors to citizen activists and schoolchildren
  • social-environmental threats and implemented solutions
  • community gardens and parks
  • centers for environmental education and change
  • right across Israel - urban and rural, center and periphery, religious and secular, Arab and Jewish.
